Win a Speck CorePack Fly Bag – HighTechDad’s Gift-a-Day Giveaway (Day 3)

A while ago, I did a review of a Speck Backpack so I know their products pretty well. For Day 3 of the HighTechDad Gift-A-Day Giveaway, you get the chance of winning a Speck Bag, specifically the CorePack Fly.

speck_corepack1 Glide through Airport security with the new CorePack Fly by your side! Designed to match TSA requirements, CorePack Fly unsnaps to lay flat on security conveyor belt so your up-to-15-inch laptop is exposed, relieving you from burden and repetition of removing it every time you pass through a checkpoint. Adjust the dual-position shoulder strap to your liking for ultimate comfort during long tramps through airports, or in the urban jungle beyond! Or, remove it all together for a professional briefcase-style look. Custom pockets for your mp3 player, water bottle and other devices, and plenty of room for your important books and documents make CorePack Fly the unparalleled leader in convenient laptop travel.

If you travel, you know what a pain it is to have to go through security. Speck has really thought out the design of this messenger bag so that you can worry less about going through security and more about where you are going and what you will do when you get there.

  1. I would love to win this fantastic fly notebook messenger bag because I never take my computer when I travel, partly is because I am nervous when it comes to taking it out of my regular computer bag. I guess it does sound funny but maybe when you get to the golden age (67 years old) I just get nervous with all there is to do at the airport, remove shoes, get tickets out, my ID and so forth. I really feel if I had the fly notebook messenger bag, I could take a big breath and goooooo flying smoothly.

  2. This would be the best gift for my absent minded professor husband. At last I could put all of his things in one place and just have to load this on in the AM. Beats those frantic early searches for EVERYTHING that seems to get eaten by the cant find it monster.

  3. After dealing with the TSA last week in LAX this bag would have saved me and everyone else in line 15 minutes and frustration. Thankfully I was just short of a Strip Search in public. I could really use this one with traveling in the upcoming year. @pentaxfan

  4. This would be great for me, I have a laptop but I always carry it in my regular bookbag because I have no special bag for it, this would help carrying it to school so much easier!

  5. I could really use this bag. I love the concept of it folding open so not to have to remove my laptop while going through security I hate holding up the line. I have seen these style but have yet to upgrade so I would love to win this one. Another awesome giveaway. Good luck to everyone. My Twitter name @jst4tim

  6. I just recently got a 15″ MacBook Pro and I've been looking at a number of protective travel cases, such as the Speck Seethru or the Incipio Orions, however, I think having a Fly Bag is much more convenient as it allows for for storage and portability, so it'd make a great gift. I can also carry all my cables and magsafe charger, which makes it even better. Thanks for having this giveaway :) @plooneytunes

  7. Its hard to find good and useful bags for traveling. This would make traveling for me much more easier.

  8. I would love to win this bag for my husband. He would love to see this under the tree since he travels so much and this bag is as stylish and sophisticated as he is!

  9. I would love to win the Speck CorePack Fly Bag because it would be the perfect Christmas present for my dad. I'm currently unemployed, so funds are short for gifts this year. My dad travels a lot with business, and I never have any ideas about what to get him- this would be perfect! The Speck CorePack Fly Bag will make each trip to the airport less hectic and give my Dad one less thing to worry about while traveling. Please, please consider helping me give my Dad a great Christmas gift! Thank you and happy holidays! :)

  10. as a frequent international traveler…, anything that makes getting thru security easier is definitely worth a couple extra bucks, papers and cords always seem to fall out as i fumble around getting it outta my current bag…

  11. Huh, this bag might actually make me start carrying the laptop on again. I got so sick of the hassle that I started either not bringing it on short trips, or checking it on long trips. Like the recent trip to Taiwan, where we'd have to change planes twice in two different countries. Just not worth it. But if it was more painless, yea, possibly.

  12. I need a good bag for my MBP because of upcoming work travel plans. The ease of getting my laptop out at TSA checks alone would reason enough. The black briefcase style (as HTD shows above) is exactly what someone who travels needs to have – like me!

  13. my son is vp of a company in California and is always on the road! Meetings, conferences, speaking engagements…has to be able to move quickly through the airport and hotels with his laptop and notes. This would be a perfect gift for my precious road warrior!.. He is one of those guys that gives 1000% of himself to his company, and I always ask him if he knows what an honorable man he is… Would be awesome to be able to honor him and give this to him for Christmas! thanks for the review and giveaway.

  14. This is a great thing you are doing here! Thanks for this. I would love to get my hands on this bag. I am currently rocking a 13″ macbook pro that needs a sweet home when I carry it around. I have a Speck SeeThru case protecting it and really like the Speck line of products. They obviously put some extra thought and creativity into the design. And lets just face it, thats one crazy sexy lookin' bag!

  16. I would like to win this CorePack since I carry my laptop in my backpack with all of my books for school and my backpack is already pretty beat up. This would definitely help me out a lot!

  17. I would love this bag for 2 reasons. 1/ I love the blue checker look on the front and 2/ going through security is so nerve-wracking, and I feel like a fumbling fool trying to get my laptop out of it's zipped up compartment without the other contents falling out. So please, I would love it because of the way my laptop would just slide out.

  18. When my fiancee and I started traveling she told me she had excellent luck all the time traveling. I, on the other hand, have miserable luck traveling. From delays (every time I fly with her we are delayed) to kids kicking the backs of our chairs, from people holding their wine glasses up to the air vent splattering it all over my white shirt, to the couple in front of us and behind us sick with the violent stomach flu (last Christmas). Yes, indeed, my penchant for disaster when traveling is legendary in her eyes.

This is not a good thing.

A bag that speeds up my travel process, even a little, would be a huge step forward. Something stylish would win me points with my fiancee! And well, getting a little bit of travel luck just might give our future “married travel” a fighting chance!

  19. I would love this bag! I travel often and having to pull the laptop out of the bag everytime when going through security has almost moved me to the point of not even taking a laptop anymore! If I win this bag, my life, and those behind me at the airport, would be a little less stressfull!

  20. I would love this because I recently quit my job in order to travel more, but I have no supplies. :)

  21. I don't have anything really interesting to say but I really would love to win this for my son who is in high school & will be going off to college soon. Since he will be going out of state & flying a lot – this should be perfect for him :)
