Samsung’s 2026 TVs just got a meaningful free upgrade, and Prime Video owners will see it immediately on compatible content. This is the kind of behind-the-scenes improvement that makes a real difference on a dark-room movie night. Unfortunately, my Samsung TV is many years old, so I won’t benefit from this.
But I love these types of firmware updates that let hardware enhance or expand its features. Regular software and OS updates do this as well, but when it comes to important “quality of life” improvements that make your binge-watching experience better, we just have to applaud a little!
This is another shot across the bow to various streaming providers. Recently, it was the bundling of Peacock in YouTube Premium for unified content. Now Samsung and Prime are joining forces to improve the viewing experience. As long as prices don’t keep climbing, this could be great for couch potatoes like me.
