Summary

QuoteKit is a WordPress plugin built by HighTechDad that transforms disorganized email threads into a clear, professional workflow for creating quotes, bids, and pricing proposals. It enables creators, consultants, and small teams to design polished proposals, manage pricing tiers, track revisions, and gather vendor approvals on a single centralized platform.

What it does

QuoteKit simplifies the process of creating and managing business proposals directly within WordPress. Built specifically to eliminate fragmented, multi-thread email communication during sales cycles, QuoteKit standardizes quote creation into a structured digital workflow. It caters to creators, consultants, and small teams who require a reliable, scalable way to present pricing options to potential clients.

The plugin equips users with essential tools to build professional proposals, present dynamic pricing options, handle multi-tier pricing, and bundle services effectively. It also provides capabilities for tracking revision histories as client requirements evolve and for streamlining the collection of approvals directly from vendors or clients.

Offered in a tiered model, QuoteKit Free provides core quoting and proposal generation functionality. For businesses with more complex operations, QuoteKit Pro unlocks advanced proposal lifecycle controls, extended bundle pricing options, and reporting capabilities to track sales performance and proposal conversion over time.

Why I built it

With HighTechDad.com, I get pitches and review requests from companies, vendors, agencies, and PR firms almost daily. I decided this year that I was actually “losing money” with all of my reviews. I was spending countless hours testing, photographing, filming, editing, and writing reviews. A typical review can take me between 10 and 20 hours. I had some companies requesting my rate card, which I realized I didn’t have. So, I decided to work on a rate card. But then I discovered that I needed my rates to be flexible and with different tiers. And I was working with different types of companies as well. Long story short, I evolved my spreadsheet into a complex quote and bidding system that held varying tiers of rates as well as bundles of services (e.g., articles, short/long videos, etc.). QuoteKit is what I use now for all of my review and sponsored content requests.
