Apple is about to try something it has never done before: releasing three flagship ‘Ultra’ products in under a year. If the iPhone Ultra lands under $2,500 this September, it will dominate the tech conversation all the way through the holidays. While I don’t have many details about the MacBook Ultra (other than that it supposedly has a touchscreen and some other boosts), it sounds intriguing (yet probably expensive).
When it comes to the AirPods Ultra, there seems to be more speculation. Having a supposedly built-in camera could offer some interesting new solutions for workouts or visual intelligence. I’m a bit more skeptical about this one (e.g., what happens if you have hair that covers the cameras?), but it will be interesting to track.
The only “Ultra” device that I have is an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I love it (but I have always loved extra-large watches). I’m guessing that updates to the Apple Watch Ultra will come out with the other September announcements.
