Apple slipped two Apple Intelligence features out of Monday’s iOS 27 launch, and if you were looking forward to the auto-fix compromised passwords tool in particular, you will be waiting until at least iOS 27.1. I’m guessing the auto-fix for compromised passwords will be tricky for users to fully understand. I know so many people who simply reuse the same password, over and over. And most likely, those are compromised, so once this feature becomes active, people will get a lot of warnings and not know what to do.
The one-tap action in the pop-up messages will also be interesting. If anything, it’ll make people a bit lazier instead of responding with their “brains.” We already have contextual responses within messaging for very basic responses. This will supposedly go to the next level and provide “intelligent” responses.
I’m not going to lose any sleep over these two delayed features, but I’ll watch how users react, especially around the compromised passwords. I’m sure there will be a lot of questions about it.
