AppAudit gives Mac users a clearer way to understand what is installed on their system. Instead of digging through Apple System Information or relying on command-line output, AppAudit scans installed Mac applications, groups duplicates, surfaces useful metadata, and helps you build lists for migration, cleanup, or audit work.

The free AppAudit experience includes Basic inventory workflows, application browsing, search, smart filters, app notes, and up to three custom lists.
AppAudit runs locally on your Mac. You do not need an account, cloud service, or internet connection for core scanning, lists, notes, filters, or direct-license validation. Your audit data stays on your Mac unless you choose to export it.
Upgrade path:
AppAudit Pro unlocks Advanced mode, unlimited lists, CSV exports, Markdown Audit Reports, JSON Audit Snapshots, Compare Workspace, Pro filters, and deeper audit actions in the same installed app.
This download includes one app: AppAudit. There is no separate Pro app to install. If you buy an AppAudit Pro license later, you can unlock Pro from AppAudit > Settings with your licensed email address and license key.
System requirements:
- macOS 14 Sonoma or later
- Apple Silicon Mac
AppAudit does not currently support macOS 12 Monterey, macOS 13 Ventura, or Intel Macs.
Beta note: AppAudit is currently early beta software. Core scanning, lists, notes, filters, guided help, direct license unlock, exports, Compare Workspace, and the notarized direct-download DMG are working, but the product is still actively being developed.
