If you have been eyeing an Apple TV or HomePod mini, hold your wallet for a few weeks, because October looks like Apple’s biggest month for the living room in years. This is always the fun time when bright, shiny, plugged-in or battery-powered objects are announced and start hitting the shelves.
The iPhone Duo is obviously the hot gadget. I went to my local Apple Store recently, and they weren’t on display yet, but think of the Duo as a sort of doorbuster (at a really high price point). The Home Hub will probably get some good attention, too.
Regardless, there will be sales on older inventory, so you may find some great deals. If you need to upgrade, hold off. There will also be post-launch discounts. Otherwise, look for those older tech bargains.
